About Us

Victory Outreach Fort Worth is part of a global movement reaching cities worldwide

Our Foundation

Victory Outreach International Founder - Sonny Arguinzoni Sr.

Victory Outreach International was founded in 1967 by Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni in East Los Angeles. What began in a small building on Gless Street has grown into a powerful global movement spanning over 30 countries with more than 500 churches and ministries.

The ministry was born from a testimony of transformation. After struggling with heroin addiction for six years, Sonny Arguinzoni's life was radically changed in 1962 through Teen Challenge, where he was reached by David Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz. Recognizing God's call on his life, Sonny enrolled in Bible College, where he met Julie, his lifelong companion in ministry.

Together, Sonny and Julie opened their home to people from the Aliso Village housing projects, sharing a simple yet powerful message: God loves you and has the power to transform your life. This humble beginning of welcoming drug addicts into their home would spark a movement that would reach the world.

Mission Statement

Victory Outreach is an international, church-oriented Christian ministry called to the task of evangelizing and discipling the hurting people of the world, with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ.

This call involves a commitment to plant and develop churches and training centers, in strategic cities of the world.

Victory Outreach inspires and instills within people the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, belonging, and destiny.

Victory Outreach works cooperatively with others of mutual purpose in accomplishing the task before us.

Our Beliefs

For over 60 years, the foundational beliefs that have been a primary motivating factor in Victory Outreach are seen evident in the thousands of lives that have never been the same since they walked through the doors of Victory Outreach. Victory Outreach is uniquely distinguished by its fundamental belief in God's love and in the transforming power of His love for hurting people from all walks of life.

Victory Outreach believes in the church's mission to reach the lost as mandated by Christ in what is known as the Great Commission found in the Gospels. Jesus commands his disciples "… go and make disciples of all nations" and "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:15).

Victory Outreach believes that the Spirit of God is still actively working in the building of the church through manifestations such as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for the empowerment of service, speaking in tongues and the impartation of spiritual gifts to each believer (Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:1-4, 1 Cor 12, Rom 12:5-8).

The beliefs of Victory Outreach can be classified as Evangelical and Pentecostal. The following is the organization's Statement of Faith which are the nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Victory Outreach churches adhere to:

Core Beliefs in the Statement of Faith

Victory Outreach International

1. The Bible as the Authority

Statement of Faith

The Bible is the all-sufficient rule of faith and conduct and the verbally inspired, authoritative Word of God.

Scriptural Support

  • 2 Timothy 3:15-17 — All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, making the believer complete and equipped for every good work.
  • Romans 15:4 — The Scriptures were written for our instruction and give hope and endurance.
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:13 — God's Word is received not as human teaching but as what it truly is—the Word of God.
  • 2 Peter 1:21 — Scripture originated as men spoke from God, moved by the Holy Spirit.

2. One True God — The Trinity

Statement of Faith

There is one living and true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — three persons in one substance, equal in power and glory.

Scriptural Support

  • Deuteronomy 6:4 — The Lord our God is one Lord.
  • Isaiah 43:10-11 — God alone is Savior; there is no other besides Him.
  • Matthew 28:19 — Believers are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Luke 3:22 — The Father speaks, the Son is baptized, and the Holy Spirit descends, revealing the Trinity.

3. God as Creator

Statement of Faith

God created all things — the universe, life, and humanity — and man was made in God's image.

Scriptural Support

  • Genesis 1:1-27 — God created the heavens, the earth, and humanity in His image.
  • Nehemiah 9:6 — God alone made the heavens, the earth, and all that is in them.
  • Psalm 33:6 — By the word of the Lord all things were made.
  • John 1:3 — All things were made through Christ.
  • Hebrews 11:3 — The visible world was created by God's command.

4. Deity and Person of Jesus Christ

Statement of Faith

Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, bodily rose from the dead, now sits at the Father's right hand, and will visibly return again.

Scriptural Support

  • John 1:1-3 — The Word was God and the Creator of all things.
  • Colossians 1:16 — All things were created through and for Christ.
  • Hebrews 1:10 — Christ is the eternal Creator and Sustainer.
  • Matthew 1:23 — Jesus was born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit.
  • Hebrews 7:26 — Jesus lived a sinless life.
  • Acts 2:22 — God testified to Jesus through miracles.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3 — Christ died for our sins.
  • Matthew 28:1-6 — Jesus rose bodily from the dead.

5. Sinfulness of Man

Statement of Faith

Humanity fell into sin through Adam's disobedience, and all people are inherently sinful and separated from God without salvation.

Scriptural Support

  • Romans 3:23 — All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
  • Romans 5:12 — Sin entered the world through one man, affecting all humanity.

6. Salvation Through Christ

Statement of Faith

Salvation is provided by God only through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith in Christ are necessary for salvation.

Scriptural Support

  • Acts 4:12 — Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ.
  • John 3:16 — God provided salvation through His Son.
  • Romans 10:9-10 — Confession and belief in Christ result in salvation.

7. Sanctification

Statement of Faith

Believers are set apart for God at salvation and grow progressively in holiness throughout their lives.

Scriptural Support

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:3 — God's will is the sanctification of believers.
  • 2 Corinthians 3:18 — Believers are transformed into Christ's image from glory to glory.

8. Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Statement of Faith

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is real and empowers believers for service, often accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues and the distribution of spiritual gifts.

Scriptural Support

  • Acts 1:4 — The Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses.
  • Acts 2:4 — Believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues.

Victory Homes Fort Worth Logo

Mission Statement

Victory Homes Fort Worth provides a residential, Christian environment for men and women.

The purpose of the Home is to reclaim, redeem, and restore lives that have been destroyed or disrupted by drugs, alcohol and/or other substance abuse by establishing three essential values; a commitment to Christ, restoration of the family and a positive work ethic.

Change Begins When You Believe

Statistically, there are over 300 live-in recovery homes in the U.S. and around the world. There are as many as 10,000 residents (men and women) in these recovery homes at one time. Their lodging, food, and clothing is provided at no charge. These Victory Homes go into some of the most drug infested areas of the inner cities and reaches out to men and women who are helplessly addicted to heroin, meth and other drugs. Such effectiveness comes from the fact that majority of people providing assistance are former addicts and gang members who at one time found themselves trapped in the same cycle of addiction.

A message of hope and healing

The message is simple; Jesus can change and transform any life no matter the condition or the addiction. Scriptures are used as the foundation to bring a message of deliverance. Once the message is heard and received, addicts are taken off the streets or in some cases out of prison and given an opportunity to live in these Homes (as it is often referred to). The people who direct the Homes know it's not an easy road yet through tough love, compassion, and support they have been able to see tremendous results

Results for a lifetime

Once a resident completes his/her stay at one of these Victory Recovery Homes, follow up is provided by the local church, where they're directed to get actively involved in the life flow of the church. Each Victory Home has a local church that residents are very much a part of and take an active role in the functions of the local church

The emphasis in these Victory Homes, is creating a lifetime of service to others. Many graduates go on to work with addicts, gangs and other hurting people by helping them know the freedom they now embrace. The bottom line: These Victory Homes have an exponential effect in helping and getting involved in reaching out to our communities. By rescuing one person, they often then, in turn, reach out too many others
